Rio – The Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MPRJ) highlighted in a complaint against councilor Gabriel Monteiro (PL), last Friday (8), that the parliamentarian recorded on his own cell phone a video having sex with a teenager of 15 years. Last week, the City Council’s Justice Commission accepted the request for an inquiry against Monteiro.

According to the lawsuit, Gabriel and the victim met at a gym in the luxury condominium where he lives. The two talked through messages and the councilor invited the young woman to visit his mansion in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of Rio. The complaint document points out that, five months after the first meeting, he used his cell phone to record intimate scenes with the teenager.

Also, according to the MPRJ, the teenager’s mother had already registered a police report at the Child and Adolescent Victim Police Station (Decav) after the video was leaked on social networks. In testimony, both confirmed the parliamentarian’s version that he did not know the age of the young woman, as she lied to be of legal age.

Even with consented recording, the law provides that filming or reproducing sex scenes with minors is a crime. The prescribed penalty is four to eight years in prison. The complaint from the Public Ministry was forwarded to the 28th Criminal Court of the Capital.

Civil Police Action

Last Thursday (7), Monteiro was the target of an action by the Civil Police. The search for the source of the video leak took place in his office at the City Council, downtown and at his house, in Barra da Tijuca. Laptops, computers, cell phones, among other electronic products in his possession were seized by the agents.
